Gem State Jam - Music and Arts Festival


(BOISE, ID) June 2, 2008 – GSquare Productions presents the 1st Annual Gem State Jam Music and Arts Festival (www.gemstatejam.com). Held outdoors on the carnival grass at Expo Idaho, the July 19th event will feature two music stages and a variety of art and craft vendors. The gates open at noon with the festivities running until 10 pm.

Headlining the event is Boise's own Built to Spill who have broken out on the national and international scene, touring throughout the world and playing top venues. Veteran San Francisco based rock band New Monsoon will perform as will Blue Turtle Seduction, an up and coming national touring act. Rounding out the main stage, GSquare Productions has added the popular local funk/hip-hop group Kamphire Collective and the world beat stylings of JuJu Revolution. An acoustic stage will feature local singer songwriters Rebecca Scott, Kris Doty, and Jerry Fee.

The Gem State Jam Music and Arts Festival promises to be a fun filled Saturday with two stages, a beer garden, and juicy vibes. Tickets are $25 and available for purchase at www.ticketweb.com and the following locations in Boise: Boise Co-op, Newt and Harolds, McU Sports and the Record Exchange. Kids under 12 are free.
